As a corporate photographer in Washington DC, I had the privilege of capturing a gathering of legal scholars, policymakers, and reform advocates at the 2024 International Conference on Legislation and Law Reform, held at DC Bar Headquarters on October 24–25. Hosted by the newly-founded International Legislation and Law Reform Foundation, this conference convened an international network of thought leaders dedicated to improving legislative drafting and legal systems across the globe.

One of my favorite parts of photographing brand events as a Washington DC event photographer is getting to capture not just what’s happening in the moment, but what it means—for the business, for the people behind it, and for the community it serves. That was exactly the case when I had the pleasure of photographing the grand opening of Small Door Veterinary’s newest location in McLean, Virginia—a modern, wellness-focused veterinary clinic that’s quickly making a name for itself across the East Coast.
